Description
The beauty of this property lies in its incredibly convenient location, perched on a hill with a view towards the Gran Sasso, close to everything yet surrounded by abundant private greenery, well-connected and close to the cities of Montesilvano and Spoltore. The large olive grove boasts around 200 plants of the prized “Dritta” variety. The olive grove descends the slopes of the small hill overlooking the Tavo River Valley. The house is located in the center of the olive grove and is only accessible on a private road. The property is just 9 km from the sea and the city of Montesilvano, easily reachable from the main road approximately 800 m from the house.
The property consists of about 2 hectares of agricultural land with various fruit trees, olive trees, and a house built in the 1950s with attached stables and a garage – in need of renovation. There are also two ancient buildings in a state of ruin. The volume of the two old brick ruin-houses could be easily reused for a new building. On the ground floor, there are the stables, the storage room, and the garage totaling approximately 150 sqm, on the first floor is the living space of about 120 sqm with two large bedrooms, a living room, a bathroom, and a large eat-in kitchen with a fireplace.
About the location:
The area is famous as the “golden triangle of olive oil”, where the first Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) region of Italy was born because the olives of these ancient protected varieties of olive trees can produce extremely high-quality olive oil. The name of the P.D.O.. Aprutino Pescarese comes from the ancient name of the area Aprutium, later known as Aprutina. Olive cultivation has been present since ancient times, as shown by historical records dating back to the Roman era.
