Loreto Aprutino is one of the most beautiful historic centers in the area, vibrant and well-known for its well-preserved old town. It is also recognized as one of the key locations in the “golden triangle of olive oil” because it was here that Italy’s first “protected designation of origin” (DOP) region was established for olive oil production, which is considered among the best in Italy.
The town boasts a famous Romanesque church, an olive oil museum, and various medieval structures. It also offers several bars, restaurants renowned for their traditional and gourmet cuisine, pizzerias, supermarkets, and various shops, as well as a bank, post office, and schools.
