Description
This house is located in the ancient village of Vestea, a small town at the foot of the Gran Sasso d’Abruzzo. Despite being small, this house is very comfortable because everything is tailored and the space is optimally utilized. For this reason, the house is sold with all the furniture that furnishes it. On the facade, there is a beautiful sundial (meridiana), recently restored, and an entrance door covered by a small awning with ancient terracotta tiles.
Inside, the entrance also serves as a living area where, since the chimney flue is present, it is possible to restore the fireplace that had been removed due to space constraints. The ceiling is traditional, with a carriage sky. The floors have been treated with a double layer of insulation to avoid any potential mold problems that usually affect old houses.
The kitchen is tailor-made with built-in stoves, a refrigerator, and an oven. A comfortable wooden staircase leads to the upper floor where we find two very cozy bedrooms, each with a window, and a bathroom with a shower. Here, the roof is made of wood, and the furniture has been designed to contain what is necessary for two or three people.
It is possible to access the house by car because the entrance faces a small square where there are also benches to enjoy the panorama and the fresh air.
